What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO is an acronym for “Search Engine Optimization” and if done properly can potentially improve your site’s search engine positioning and the organic traffic it receives. Through specialized techniques that are learned over time and through experience, an SEO professional can make adjustments to your website and offsite optimization strategies to ensure your site is representing your offerings to its fullest extent and increase your chances of placing well in search engines. SEO and the strategies that go along with it evolve constantly and require regular updating to keep up with the trends and algorithm changes.

My website isn't ranking well. Why not?

There are many different reasons why your site may not be ranking well. Search engines use complex algorithms to make sense of the billions of websites that exist on the internet today. We can help ensure your site has the proper SEO elements in place, and give it the best chance to rank for relevant terms.

Will Pay per click (PPC) help my organic SEO?

PPC does not have any impact on organic search placement.

Do you offer an SEO guarantee?

We would love to, but it is not possible. As Google has said “Beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a ‘special relationship’ with Google, or advertise a ‘priority submit’ to Google. There is no priority submit for Google.” We can’t control the search engines, but we can promise to provide a customized strategy that will be catered to your exact needs, and is a culmination of over a decade of solid experience and results. If it was so easy as to just offer a guarantee, wouldn’t everyone be well ranked for relevant terms?

Do you just offer consulting, or do you actually do the optimization work?

We can work either way – the choice is yours. Some clients prefer to handle the implementation where others want us to handle all aspects of strategy and implementation. We have a staff fully capable of both building out a search marketing strategy and implementing it.

What is PPC Advertising (Pay-Per-Click)?

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is one of the most targeted forms of advertising available today. Search engines allow advertisers to display ads to individuals interested in your product or service in real time. It allows an effective way to reach your online audience of customers and prospects. You can then target ads towards these people and gain highly relevant traffic to your website.

How quickly will my ads go live?

Unlike SEO, which can take a lot of time, PPC is much faster. After we have all the details we need including identifying relevant keywords, we build the campaigns and typically have them launched soon after. The beauty of PPC advertising is that ads can be put in front of qualified visitors almost instantly if the words you choose are being searched and you have sufficient budget to support the cost per click (CPC) rates..

How do we choose keywords?

Finding the right keywords is one of the first and most important steps in setting up a solid PPC program. We help you prioritize and decide which offerings are best to set campaigns around, and then we build relevant keyword lists based on historical searches and traffic volume.

Are results measurable?

Both Google and Yahoo/Bing networks have conversion tracking capabilities, along with a plethora of reporting capabilities. So the answer is yes, results can be measured back to the campaigns and the keywords which brought the conversions.

What is a landing page?

A landing page is a specific page that is created on your website that a user will arrive at when your ad is clicked. A good landing page gives the client the information or offer they are looking for and is relevant to the words you are bidding on. Typically, best practices are to remove all extraneous links such as privacy policies, about us pages and other links that are not directly related to the action you want the visitor to take.
